We are here to help parents raise happy and successful children

Accreditation is the launchpad for school improvement. Based on rigorous research-based standards and evidence-based criteria, the process probes the whole institution, from policies to learning conditions and cultural contex to determine how well the parts work together to meet the needs of every learner.

Cognia Performance Standards are at the heart of continuous improvement and accreditation. They define the characteristics of a good education institution and provide guidelines for efforts that will energetically and visibly grow learners, teachers, leaders, and organizations.

Core Values

Four core values underpin our aims

Best Practices

Best practices are applied and integrated at all levels of the organization.
Evidence of Best Practices should be demonstrated in daily actions at the management, school, classroom, and student level leading to innovation and performance excellence.

The school community is empowered with a perspective of, and respect for social responsibility and good citizenship, from a global and local perspective.
Social, cultural, economic and environmental responsibility underpins this core value.

This school values the development of visionary leadership at all levels in its community.
Through a shared vision and visible commitment of all school community members to the principles and practices of continuous improvement and performance excellence it is expected that leadership can be developed and nurtured.

Life-long Learning

We Believe in curious minds, improving memories and wisdom and building new skills throughout our life time.
This is long life learning in FIS

My top priority is to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where all students can thrive and fulfill their potential by receiving a high-quality education

Dr. Tonia Williams

School Principal

To be the leading private school in the UAE that provides an exemplary learning environment in line with the UAE National Education agenda.

To provide an exemplary learning environment that develops lifelong learners academically, socially, and promotes a sense of citizenship and cultural awareness.

  • Students benefit from high standards, challenging expectations and quality work.
  • Teachers will challenge every student by matching high academic expectations to individual learning potential, thereby increasing student performance.
  • Teachers, administrators, parents and the community share the responsibility for advancing the school’s mission.
  • Students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.
  • Students learn best in a safe and respectful environment.
  • Every student is a valued individual with unique social, emotional, and intellectual needs.
  • Students learn best when they have appropriate opportunities for success.
  • Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs.
  • A student’s self-esteem is enhanced by positive relationships and mutual respect among and between students and staff.
  • Students will develop planning habits, think independently, use multiple resources, evaluate personal actions, be sensitive to feedback, restrain impulsivity, make a point when it is warranted, and work diligently on a task when answers are not immediately evident.
  • Students need to apply their learning in meaningful contexts.
  • Schools need to function as a learning organization and promote opportunities for all those who have a stake in the success of the school to work together as a community of learners.
  • The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners.
